From the French Alps to the slopes of Mount Sima, Julien has been immersed in skiing and snowboarding since a young age. In 2000, he brought his passion and experience to the Yukon, blending years of athletic involvement with a strong coaching background—including time as a head squash coach. Inspired by his child’s love for freestyle skiing, he made the leap into freestyle coaching to support Freestyle Yukon and help young athletes thrive. Julien is now certified in FUNdamentalz and has completed Air 1 to Air 4 training, with his sights set on bringing even more energy and expertise to the coming season. In addition to coaching, Julien is proud to serve on the board of the Yukon Freestyle Ski Association, helping guide the growth and direction of the club behind the scenes.

What drives him as a coach? Watching kids progress on the slopes—building skill, confidence, and a love for the sport. That’s where the magic happens.
